Richard Le SAND
Founder
French native, Le Sand’s career spans design, art curation, branding, and product creation, shaped by years of experience in the luxury design and hospitality sectors.
His trajectory accelerated with the founding of AKAR De NISSIM in Singapore in 2012, where he created high-end collections of furniture, lighting, candles, and objects defined by refined craftsmanship. After serving as Design Director for the Vietnamese luxury brand HANOIA, co-owned by Hermès, he collaborated with leading architecture studios including Denniston and SCDA, working at the intersection of design, architecture, and art. At SCDA, he established an art consulting department curating collections that enhance architectural and hospitality environments.
Through Secklars, he now brings together this multidimensional expertise to shape distinctive cultural identities for luxury hospitality projects.
Carolina De SALVO
Art Director
Born in Rome, with the Roman Forum visible from her bedroom window, De Salvo developed an early and enduring sensibility for history and the arts. She later graduated with honors from La Sorbonne in Paris, earning a Master’s degree in Fine Arts.
Her perspective was further shaped by extensive travels and by a decade as the intrepid host and writer of a renowned prime-time documentary program on French television, “Faut Pas Rêver” where she brought distant cultures and remarkable places vividly to life.
As Art Director at Secklars, she draws on this singular trajectory to curate site-specific art collections for hotels, creating subtle dialogues between place, architecture, and contemporary artistic practice.
Stuart LEWIN
Design Director
Stuart Lewin brings over twenty-five years of experience shaping brands and design systems for some of the world’s leading companies. His work spans multiple disciplines — from brand strategy and identity to digital, packaging, and spatial storytelling — always with a focus on how design shapes perception and experience.
Before founding his consultancy BTL, Stuart was Creative Director at Vivid Brand (later acquired by Publicis), where he led branding and design projects for global names including Coca-Cola, Colgate, Nestlé, and Philips.
At Secklars, Stuart’s multidisciplinary perspective enriches the studio’s approach to hospitality curation. His understanding of brand identity, narrative, and visual language helps translate each client’s spirit into coherent atmospheres — where art, objects, and design come together to create spaces with character and meaning.
